Hi,

OpenBeam is Generally Available, and paid plans are open from today.

Plans

  • Personal: $30 a month, with 30 simulation hours a month included.
  • Founding price: the first 100 Personal subscribers who subscribe by November 1 keep $30 a month for 12 months, as long as the subscription stays active.
  • Teams: $150 per seat a month, with 100 simulation hours a month per seat and everything in Personal for each seat, paid by invoice. To buy Teams, reply to this email.
  • Free trial and free tier: they stay. Every new account still gets a 14-day free trial with 3 simulation hours and no card, then 30 free minutes every month.

Metering for usage past your included hours, with spend alerts and caps, is coming. Until it starts, usage past your included hours isn't charged. We'll tell you at least 30 days before it starts, and spend caps will be available before then.

How to upgrade

Paid plans opened at 00:00 UTC today. Sign in at openbeam.world with the email address you use for OpenBeam Cloud, open your account and choose Personal. You pay on a Stripe checkout page, and your OpenBeam Cloud account switches to Personal once the payment goes through.

How time is counted

A session counts from when it starts on a GPU until it ends, idle time included. Time waiting for a GPU isn't counted. Press Leave when you're done. The free trial and free tier count time this way now, and paid plans will from December 1, 2026; until then, idle time isn't counted toward paid plan hours. That date only changes how hours are counted; it doesn't start any charges.

Updated Terms and Privacy Policy

We updated both on October 20, 2026:

  • Terms: the free trial and free tier, how time is counted, and that metering for usage past your included hours and spend caps are coming, not live yet.
  • Privacy Policy: the records we keep to allow one free trial per person, the analytics we use (PostHog on our website and in OpenBeam Cloud, Google Analytics on our website), and, if you accept cookies, what X receives to measure our ads, including what we send X when you buy a plan.
