Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OpenBeam, LLC ("OpenBeam", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use openbeam.world, OpenBeam Cloud, the OpenBeam desktop software, the OpenBeam MCP server and related services (together, the "Services").
The short version
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Not for money, not for anything else.
- Your models, scripts, maps, recordings and telemetry belong to you. We do not use them to train AI models, and we only access them to run the Services, help you when you ask, or keep the Services secure.
- A small set of service providers help us run OpenBeam, under contracts that limit them to working for us.
- You can access, export or delete your data at any time by emailing us.

1. Information we collect
Information you give us
Your name, work email, organization and role when you join the waitlist, apply for the beta or create an account; details about a pilot scenario you describe to us; and anything you send us in emails or support requests.
Billing information
Payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive limited details such as your billing name and address, plan, the last four digits and expiry date of your card, and payment status. We never receive or store your full card number.
Your content
Everything you upload to or create with the Services, including vehicles, robots, props, maps, scripts, parameters and inputs, and the outputs of your runs, such as video recordings, telemetry, logs and datasets ("Customer Content").
Usage and metering data
Simulation hours per stream, when solvers are attached and released, run counts, spend alerts and caps you set, and which features you use. We need this to bill you accurately and to enforce your caps.
Device, log and stream data
IP address, browser and operating system, timestamps, pages viewed, errors, and stream performance measurements such as latency and dropped frames, which we use to keep streams working well.
Agent and API activity
When you connect an AI agent over MCP or use an API key, we log the calls made with your credentials (which tool was called, when, and whether it succeeded) for security, billing and troubleshooting.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Services: run, render and stream your simulations, store your Customer Content and export your telemetry.
- To approve beta accounts, manage your account, meter usage, bill you and enforce spend caps.
- To send you service and transactional messages, and product updates you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To respond to support requests, including looking at specific Customer Content when you ask us to.
- To keep the Services secure and to detect and prevent fraud, abuse and violations of our Terms of Service.
- To improve reliability and performance, using aggregated or de-identified usage and performance data. We do not use Customer Content for this.
- To comply with the law.
3. What we never do
- We never sell your personal information or your Customer Content.
- We never share your personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we never give it to data brokers.
- We never use your Customer Content to train AI or machine learning models, ours or anyone else's, without your explicit written permission.
- We never make your Customer Content public or use it in our marketing without your explicit written permission.
- We never show ads in the Services.
4. When we share information
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers. Companies that host our infrastructure and compute, process payments, deliver email, host our website and memberships, and support our customer communications. They may use your information only to provide services to us, must keep it confidential and secure, and may not use it for their own purposes. A current list is available on request.
- People you choose. Members of your Teams or Enterprise workspace, and agents, tools or integrations you connect to your account.
- Legal requirements. When we are required to by a valid legal process. Where the law allows, we will notify you first and we will push back on requests that are overbroad.
- Safety. When needed to prevent fraud, address a security threat or protect someone from serious harm.
- Business transfers. If OpenBeam is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may transfer to the successor, which will be bound by the commitments in this policy. We will notify you before that happens.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies that are necessary for signing in, keeping your session active and protecting the Services. We may use privacy-friendly analytics that measure aggregate site traffic. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.
6. How long we keep data
- Account information: for as long as your account is open.
- Customer Content: until you delete it or close your account. After you close your account, you have 30 days to export it, after which we delete it from our active systems within 30 days. Copies in backups are overwritten within 90 days.
- Logs: generally up to 90 days, longer only if needed to investigate a security incident.
- Billing records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
7. Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, isolate customer simulation workloads, limit staff access to what is needed for their role and log that access, and store credentials securely. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you without undue delay and as required by law.
8. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete your personal information and Customer Content.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent you have given.
- Stop sending you marketing emails (every email has an unsubscribe link).
Email Beshoy@openbeam.world to make a request. We will verify your identity, respond within 30 days (or sooner where the law requires), and never treat you differently for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent, and if we decline a request you can appeal by replying to our decision.
9. Regional disclosures
United States, including California
In the past 12 months we have not sold or shared personal information, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws. The categories we collect are identifiers (such as name and email), commercial information (such as plan and billing history), internet activity (such as usage and logs) and professional information (such as organization and role), all for the purposes described in section 2. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
We process personal information to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in running and securing the Services, with your consent where required, and to meet legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Business customers
For Teams and Enterprise accounts, your organization controls its workspace, and we process Customer Content on its behalf and on its instructions. A data processing agreement is available on request.
11. International transfers
OpenBeam is based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we use safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the Services before they take effect. We will never weaken the commitments in section 3 for information we have already collected without your consent.
