Plans, hours and billing
What each OpenBeam Cloud plan includes, how simulation hours are counted, and what changes when billing opens on October 26.
OpenBeam Cloud is priced by simulation hours. Every account starts on the free beta, and you only pay once you need more hours than it includes.
Plans
| Plan | For | Price | Simulation hours | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free beta | Every new account | $0 | 3, then a card is required | The full solver, telemetry export and MCP |
| Personal | Researchers, students and agent builders | $30 a month | 30 a month, metered after that | Everything in the free beta, plus private model storage |
| Teams | Startup and lab teams | $150 per seat a month | 100 a month per seat, metered after that | A shared model library, usage by project and invoicing |

Billing opens October 26
Until October 26, every account runs on the free beta. After that you can upgrade to Personal from your account on openbeam.world.
Founding price: the first 100 Personal subscribers who subscribe by November 1 keep $30 a month for 12 months.
How hours are counted
- Hours are counted per stream while a solver is attached. Five streams running for one hour use five hours.
- Time spent waiting in a queue for a GPU, and idle time, is not billed.
- Sessions an AI app starts for you over MCP count the same way as sessions you start with Play.
- Usage past your included hours is metered. Every account has spend alerts and caps.
Access during the beta
OpenBeam Cloud is in private beta, and we let accounts in gradually. You sign in with your openbeam.world account. If your account is still waiting for approval, OpenBeam Cloud tells you so when you sign in. See Sign in to OpenBeam Cloud.
