Session, usage and storage limits
How many sessions you can run, how long they last, what happens when you disconnect, and how much you can keep in your mod library.
These limits apply to every OpenBeam Cloud account, whether you start a session with Play or an AI app starts it for you over MCP.
Sessions
| Limit | Value | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| Sessions at a time | 1 per account | Starting another one asks End your other session? Choose End it and play here to move it to this tab. |
| Session length | Up to 4 hours | The session reached its time limit. Press Play to start a new one. |
| Time to open the player | 2 minutes after the server is ready | The player took too long to connect. |
| Time away before the session ends | 5 minutes | The player was away for too long. |
If you close the tab or lose your connection
Your session keeps running for 5 minutes. Open OpenBeam Cloud again and press Play within that time and you rejoin the same game (Rejoining your running session…). After 5 minutes the session ends.
Leave in the player's toolbar ends the session straight away. Use it when you are done, so you are not counted for time you don't use.
When every GPU is busy
If no GPU is free, OpenBeam Cloud starts another server for you and waits for it (Starting another server for you.). If none comes free in time you see No server came free in time; try again in a few minutes.
Monthly hours
How many hours you get each month depends on your plan. See Plans, hours and billing. Hours are counted per stream while a solver is attached; queued and idle time isn't billed.
If you joined with a beta invite, the invite can set its own number of sessions. Once they are used you see This invite's game session has been used, and you need a new invite to start another.
Mod library
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Mods in your library | 50 |
| Total library size | 10 GB |
| Size of one mod | 4 GB |
When you reach a limit, delete a mod you no longer need under Mods. See Upload and share mods.
Recordings
A recording stops on its own before its video reaches 8 GB, or if the stream changes size or codec. Everything recorded up to that point is saved. See Record a run and download its data.
