The tabs
| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Play | Start a session, and connect an AI app over MCP. |
| Mods | Upload maps and vehicles to your cloud library, download or delete them, and share them publicly. |
| Recordings | Watch, download and delete the runs you recorded in the player. |
Play
Under Explore the experiences, choose a ready-made scene, such as an off-road climb, a track day or a rocket launch. OpenBeam Cloud finds a GPU, loads the experience's map and vehicles from your cloud library, and opens the player in a new tab. If an experience needs a mod you don't have yet, it tells you which one to add under Mods.
While it starts you see what it is doing: Checking your connection…, Finding a GPU…, then Opening the player…. If you already have a session running, choosing an experience asks whether to end it and play here. Only one session runs at a time.
Below the experiences, Connect Codex or Claude gives you the MCP link to add to your AI app, shows the apps you have connected, and lets you disconnect them. See Connect OpenBeam to Codex or Claude.
Mods
Your cloud library of maps and vehicles. What you upload here is available in every session. See Upload and share mods.
Recordings
Every recording you make with Record in the player appears here once it is saved. See Record a run and download its data.
Where your files are kept
Your mods and recordings are kept in OpenBeam Cloud storage, apart from the game servers. Ending a session doesn't delete them.
Once a session is running, the player has its own toolbar. See Use the player toolbar.
