About BeamCloud

BeamCloud is hosted soft-body simulation. It runs OpenBeam, a physics engine that models vehicles, robots and structures as nodes joined by beams. Each beam has its own stiffness, yield point and breaking force, so a design bends, dents and fails the way its structure says it should.

The solver runs on our servers and streams to your browser. There is nothing to install and no workstation to provision, so anyone on a project can open a test and watch it run.

What you can do with it

• Script tests in AngelScript or Lua, and run many variations in parallel.
• Drive vehicles and operate robot arms live while the solver runs.
• Record runs with their inputs and physics data in sync, and replay them frame by frame.
• Upload your own vehicles, robots, scripts and maps.
• Run one simulation with several people at once.

Open source

OpenBeam is open source. We are building it out for engineering work: scripted load cases, deterministic runs and hosted streaming.

BeamCloud is in private beta. Email Beshoy@openbeam.world with your company and what you want to simulate. Teams with a defined crash, deformation or contact problem get priority.
